I am from Richmond Virginia, and the CommonWealth cares nothing about medical marijuana because they make more off weed throughout the justice system here. I do have family in maryland so I have kept a close eye on the progress there and I do think HB1101 is a step in the right direction but the growth needs to continue. I started smoking marijuana at 15, I didn't think I would ever be able to smoke because of my asthma that I've had since early childhood, but once i began smoking marijuana my asthma decreased and my lungs grew stronger. Before i started smoking i would be hospitalized for my asthma yearly in the fall/winter (after football season but before basketball). As of last year I was second in command for a private security company contracted by the state. I worked in this field for almost 5 years I am 27 now. Both sides of my family have been involved in the drug trade forever weather user or dealers. March of last year I was hospitalized for mental instability. I had a mental breakdown. Building up to this point I was being watched by police, they would sit at the end of my street. Then I started seeing communication vans at the end of my street. Finally one night I come home from being gone most of the day and I found crack in 4 bags in my house. I flushed it got my stuff and got out of there because I felt a set up. I went to my family's house and my mother call the police and had me committed. After getting adjusted to new medication. I noticed the police harrassment continued. SWAT team jumped out on us at our basketball court 2. One of my best friends place of business was raided by ATF and DEA. They believed my group was involved in cocain trafficking. Now this whole time Doctors and therapist think I'm making this all up or that I'm delusional. Now the medications that they have given me has created more problems in my body and they couldn't care less if this stuff kills me. To them it would be another dumb crazy nigga dead that they don't have to deal with. Now the only thing that helps all my symptoms is marijuana. I have insomnia/bipolar disorder or paranoid schizofrenic/acid reflux/depression/ asthma. The evil interest in our government will delay this legalization because they make more as a nation with full prisons. They care nothin about the well being of the human race. This movement will only get bigger and stronger. What happen to the Christian beliefs that this country was founded on. What happen to the love in this country? Lol see we need it legalized so people like the guy earlier wont be victimized by crazy blacky like ME! Hahahahaha have a great day!

If the Supreme Court rules against us there should be a court case

Steph,
I've been doing my best to blast info about HR1523 since it was introduced, wish we could have done more to pressure the pols. My belief is that until we get something like this in place anything we might achieve on a State or Local level may well be moot. So far I have not been able to find a link to Wednesday's voting record, do you have one. Also in a post from Don this morning he urged support for a similar bill, HR1983, all I could find was Barney Frank's from last year?

What a hack! It all boils down to the big corporations puppeting poly-trickians as they squeeze it for votes...Remember Makers Mark Whiskey has a federal permit all during prohibition. This will absolutely fizzle out as booze within the next two decades....Oh Yeah I will make a point to avoid absolutely anything that grade C actor does or is affiliated with for life. Real people are suffering over these ignorant games. Sure people will abuse it or do stupid stuff but never will it compare to the destruction of alcohol internally, mentally and it corrodes families.. communities with absolutely not one positive aspect of it physically nor is it good to pickle a brain with a liquid based drug...Ramble as I have. I am sure with the few that still cling to it as a tool for livelihood...taking a persons freedom over a plant that has scientifically been proven to be more effective than habit forming narcotics that can lead to addiction and violent behavior in which costs taxpayers to house 177,000 inmates each year in our lovely 33 prisons...I feel no need to say another word. Wake up America!
